Mrs Miller - Melling Parish Civic Award

2014 Civic Award

Every October the Parish Council holds its Civic Awards when the community has a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the outstanding work that goes on in Melling.  Residence have the chance to nominate anyone they feel makes a real positive contribution to the community and this can be anything from doing a good deed for a neighbour, volunteering in the area or going that extra mile in their job within the village.  The person receiving the award is announced at the Civic Awards Ceremony when all members of the community are invited to attend the celebrations.  This year and we are really pleased to also have a category for a young person's award.

This year we are delighted to announce that Mrs Miller of Melling Primary School has been awarded the 2014 Melling Civic Award.

Mrs Miller is valued member of the community whom over the years has made a real positive impact upon the lives of young people with in Melling.  She has been a constant role model and support for the young people and also a great advocate of community spirit attending and supporting many events taking place with Melling.
