BIG 6 IN MAY!
Help your Y1 child learn about capacity!
As we are doing a measuring topic in Maths, we need to explore how much containers hold. You can help at home by finding any opportunities to fill and empty different containers.
WHAT A GREAT TRIP BACK IN TIME
AT CROXTETH HALL
We had a BRILLIANT day at Croxteth Hall, learning about the past and about how one very rich local family lived in the past in a beautiful home near to school!
Living History!
History came alive for a whole morning in Year One when we were transported back to the Victorian times. We spent the morning as Victorian children, with the girls dressed up in pinafores and mop caps and the boys dressed up in waistcoats, neck ties and flat caps! What a fun, interesting and hands on morning we had, learning about and playing with Victorian toys and learning how to play the sort of games that Victorian children would have played. THANKS PARENTS WHO CAME IN FOR THE MORNING TOO!
Happy Easter!
"La Fheile Padraig Sona Dhuit!"
PUPPET POWER!
We're all getting stuck in to our Puppet Making D.T. topic. We will be exploring different kinds of puppets and even writing instructions on how to make them. Watch this space for the instructions soon but here's our...

Windmill Farm
What a fabulous day...and sunshine too!
Here's what Ryan wrote:
We went to Windmill farm on a coach. First I went on a big scary slide. Next we went to see some funny animals and I fed them with my hand. Then we washed our hands for our lunch. After that we went on a little train and we stopped to play at an outside play area. We played again. Finally we went home.
Getting fit with Mr Millington!
Anyone for tennis?
