LEARNING HOW TO BE A SAFE PEDESTRIAN

We are enjoying our pedestrian training in Year One and being so careful to look and listen for different vehicles.

WE KNOW HOW TO BE SAFE WHEN WE ARE NEAR ROADS.

Bonjour Barnaby Bear!

We welcomed Barnaby Bear back from France, just in time for GEOGRAPHY WEEK!

We welcomed Barnaby back from his travels again.

This time he was returning from France and he brought us lots of delicious French food to eat!

Green Fingers and Busy Bees!

We've been busy planting up in the Y1 Garden Centre. So far we've got giant sunflowers (for our grow the biggest competition), fluffy sunflowers called Teddy Bear (we can't wait to see how those flowers look), carrots, tomatoes, marigolds, asters and cosmos growing...

WOW, BUSY BEES!

Y1 Victorian Home Corner

We are loving our new Victorian Home Corner. Pretending to be Victorians and using all the old household objects is such fun!

Y1's Victorian Day

May 2019

We had great fun, dressed up as Victorian servants, learning about how hard life was 'downstairs'. We had to polish, wash, wring, iron, fold, brush up, make the fires, carry the wine, heat up the beds...we're EXHAUSTED!

Victorian children for the day...

It was such good fun and so interesting to find out what our lives would have been like as poor Victorian children. We loved playing with our homemade Victorian toys and we felt just like we had travelled back in time in our Victorian outfits!
