Year 3

Happy Holiday Time

As a celebration of such a wonderful year we finished the term with a party.  We had lots of fun! We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the parents for their support at home and in school throughout the year - it has been much appreciated.  Mrs Hughes, Mrs Cliffe and Mrs Summers would also like to thank year 3 for all of the cards and gifts.  We are completely overwhelmed and would like to wish you all a very happy summer holiday! xxxx

Senora Coca

We had a very special visitor from Spain a couple of weeks ago.  Her name was Senora Coca.  She teaches in a school called Villa Romana in a place called Leon.  She spent two weeks here in Liverpool.  She visited our classroom and taught us how to sing 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' in Spanish.  It was lots of fun.

Year 3 Handwriting Groups going really well. Well Done.

Year 3 Note

Just to let you know we are collecting the children's reading books now for the end of term.  They will be passed up to Year 4 for September.  If your child has not returned their reading book could you please ensure it is brought in within the next day or so.

Thank you.

Swimming

We had a lovely final day of swimming today.  The children showed us what great progress they have made.

We finished off with a fun session with all the floats out and lots and lots of splashing!!!!smiley

Year Three Trip to Blackpool Zoo

Thursday 25th June 2015

Just a quick reminder that our trip to Blackpool Zoo is this week.  If you have not returned your child's permission slip and funds of £16, please could this be returned as soon as possible.  We will be travelling by coach, leaving school at 9.00am and returning at approximately 5.00pm - the initial letter stated 4.00pm but this has now been changed to maximise our time at the zoo.

Please can all children wear school uniform, sensible shoes or trainers and bring a waterproof in case of rain.  They will need a packed lunch and snacks in a bag that they can carry, clearly marked with their name.

Please may I ask that children do not bring money on the school trip.

Yours sincerely

To combine the two they wrote and performed a shadow puppet play retelling the Hindu story of Rama and Sita. We have included a video to share with you what we have been doing. We hope you enjoy it!
