It's nearly that time of year again...although the weather is kidding us! Please keep the following date in your diaries, Friday 26th June 2015, for the PTFA Summer Fayre 2015. Last year was a GREAT SUCCESS, with lots of fun had by all and lots of great PTFA freebies that we will be repeating this year.
Staff, pupils and governors will be contributing to the review of some key policies this Summer term. If you wish to make any comments about the following policies: E-Safety; Behaviour; Anti-Bullying; please have a read of the 'under review' policies on the website and then communicate your thoughts to Ms Ainsworth-Brown or Mrs Miller. Many thanks.
Yesterday election fever arrived at Melling! The twelve members of the Melling Junior Parish Council went head-to-head in a bid to be elected Prime Minister! In preparation, they had to write a manifesto, outlining a law they would like to introduce and also how they would spend a sum of £200 to make our school a healthier place.
The candidates turned out in fine form-several in suits!- sporting the rosettes of their party and spoke with conviction and passion. The whole school listened intently to the manifestoes and questioned some of the promises made! Later on, each child cast their vote and Y5, as Returning Officers, counted the votes.
The successful candidate was announced today in assembly...Kristian Myers of the Super Safety party! Huge congratulations, Kris! A budding David Cameron...or Ed Milliband...or....?
