Election fever comes to Melling Primary!
Today, our very own Melling Junior Parish Council took part in a General Election. Ms. Ainsworth-Brown pledged £200 to support the winning suggestion of how to spend this sum of money to promote fitness within our school. Our candidates put forward their ideas in their manifesto, which they delivered before the whole school. We were amazed at the quality of their speeches and the confidence with which they delivered them. Dressed to impress, they canvassed for votes and now eagerly await the results, which will be revealed in Friday's assembly! Our children learned such a lot about electoral systems-and above all, the importance of voting as votes can bring about change.
Congratulations to all candidates; we are so very proud of you!
