Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Week

This week, Melling launched its 7 steps to feeling good: Exercise, Eat well, Talk it through, Think happy thoughts, Do good for others, Relax your mind, Be resilient. An action-packed programme of events was on offer including samba drumming, dental care, a visit from the NHS and a mindfulness session, as well as starting the day with dancercise/ jogging round our school field. The benefits have been instant: the children have been much more energised and ready for the day ahead as well as being armed with strategies for dealing with strong emotions.
