World Down Syndrome Day 2019

To help raise awareness, we are taking part in the 'Lots of Socks' campaign on Thursday 21st March. Staff and children are welcome to come to school in brightly coloured odd socks.

The theme this year is #LeaveNoOneBehind

What does this mean?

➢ All people with Down syndrome must have opportunities to contribute to the community and live valued lives, included on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society.

➢ The reality today is that prevailing negative attitudes, low expectations, discrimination and exclusion, ensure that people with Down syndrome are left behind
